When I became pregnant with my second son I knew that I wanted to spend some time with him at home.  I also felt the need to go back to school and get my master’s degree.  I wanted a program that I could do from home so that I could spend time with my family.  I searched the Internet for programs on-line and did not find anything that fit my needs.  Then a colleague told me about a program that he was in that seemed to fit my needs perfectly. I was accepted into the program and the iMET experience has been perfect for my family and me.  I was able to stay at home and also get a quality education. 

My experience with iMET has been incredibly positive.  I feel I have been given the opportunity to have a personalized learning experience. I have been able to learn at my own pace, communicate with people that have similar interests, read insightful literature, and learn new things about a subject in which I have a keen interest. I learned many new technology techniques that helped me incorporate technology into my everyday curriculum. I learned the value of constructivist teaching, project and problem based learning and critical thinking.   I also learned about mentoring and professional development that will help me to train other teachers on the use of technology.
